Chris's story of recovery from ME/CFS - and his groundbreaking new recovery app, Freeme

Up on our blog this month, we share Chris Sykes-Popham's inspiring story of recovery from ME/CFS. Chris recently sat down with our Founder, Penny to discuss his health journey - you can watch this fascinating conversation here...

How Chris is now paying forward his recovery

Once he was back to good health, Chris felt inspired to build the recovery tool he wished he’d had on his journey. And so, Chris created Freeme – a recovery app designed specifically for people with ME, CFS, long covid and other fatigue-related conditions.

Grounded in neuroscience, the app is designed to help people understand and treat their symptoms using a neuroplastic/mind-body approach.

The app is uniquely powerful because it identifies exactly what's keeping people stuck in fight-or-flight mode and provides the tools and guidance to help shift the nervous system back into balance and unlock healing. Progress can be made by dedicating just 15 minutes a day to using the app.

Why we're so excited about this app

One of our key aims at Living Proof is to support the creation of more resources and tools for ‘non-pain’ chronic symptoms. This includes symptoms such as fatigue that can often be caused by the same neuroplastic/mind-body processes as chronic pain. The Freeme app is an exciting new resource in this area.

Where to find the app

Due to our affiliate relationship with Freeme, if you purchase the app using this link, you will also be supporting our not-for-profit organisation as we work towards our mission: raising awareness of the neuroplastic approach to health and healing and spreading hope for recovery.
