Resources for Professionals
One of our key aims at Living Proof is to promote understanding of the neuroplastic approach to recovery from chronic symptoms. An important part of this goal is supporting healthcare providers to learn more about this approach - and how they might incorporate it into practice. To support this aim, we have developed a CPD-accredited course for healthcare professionals:
Medicine & the Mind-Brain-Body Connection
This online course provides a comprehensive introduction to the science behind mind-body symptoms - and the neuroplastic approach to health and recovery.

Developed and presented by Living Proof Medical Advisor, GP & Mind-body Practitioner Dr Sarah Hadfield, and CPD-accredited by the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, this professional course aims to:
-
support GPs and other healthcare practitioners to better understand the root causes of these ‘hard to treat’ chronic conditions;
-
support practitioners in recognising and diagnosing neurophysiological or 'mind-body' conditions;
-
offer advice and guidance to practitioners on supporting and signposting patients with these conditions, through a neuroplastic/mind-body approach.
Course Format
Short written articles plus a 3-part video series.
Course Duration
Approximately 1.5 hours
Course Cost
£30, or £25 for BSLM members (available via the BSLM members' site). Reduced rates are available for groups of practitioners working together in a clinical setting such as a surgery or GP cluster. Please contact us on hello@livingproof.org.uk for more information on group purchase options, or for any other questions about the course.
Stories of Hope & Science
'Stories of Hope Online' is our monthly webinar series for the general public. These webinars aim to provide hope, reassurance and inspiration to anyone healing neuroplastic symptoms - or supporting others on this journey.
At these sessions, we share inspiring real-life recovery stories and host Q&A with a panel of recoverees. On certain months, we host a special format: 'Stories of Hope & Science' which feature conversations with mind-body experts and trailblazers as well as Q&A, allowing participants to put their questions about mind-body healing to the expert and our panel.
Practitioners are very welcome to attend any of our webinars - and might be particularly interested in the science edition.
